I am really trying to form some better habits with the blog and website. I can’t believe that we are already 3 months into the new year! It is crazy. Anyway, I will be posting sneak peeks on a more regular basis very soon-I promise!
And I am going to get a system down to update the website a little more frequently. Two goals for 2009 that I have yet to achieve and it is almost MARCH!!! Last week I had the pleasure of photographing a sweet little thang in her home. It was a lot of fun and let me get my feet wet with an in home session. I have been toying with offering this as an alternative to the studio session. I didn’t take any artificial light-we used window light only and just posed the little miss in her own surroundings. It was fun and I did learn a thing or two.
I think this would be a lot of fun for a newborn under the age of 10 days that is really sleepy yet or a six month old that is sitting up on his or her own. One thing to remember is that if we plan on using natural light we need to have some nice windows and with a newborn especially we want to have the house REALLY warm. Looks like spring is around the corner so that will help. I do have a portable light system I can bring and a space heater to help out as well. Leave me some blog comments and let me know what your thoughts are on the in home session. I envisioned tiny curled up baby asleep on a mantle or book case…a dining room table. A nakee 6 month old sitting up on gorgeous wood floors…really different stuff from your more traditional stuff. If this look appeals to you give me a call and we can chat…

Next I want to share a precious baby image. This is Jackson. Isn’t he precious??? His proud grandma Debbie ordered this image in an 11×14 canvas and it was GORGEOUS!!! We are now offering art gallery wrapped canvas. They come ready to hang on the wall and make quite an impact. As Debbie said there is just something so special about a canvas. Something that you can pass down from generation to generation. She plans on getting one of each of her grandchildren.
